Job summary

Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to support the integration and testing of hardware and software for combat vehicle platforms. You will integrate software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, build integration test environments, troubleshoot issues, and support networking and cybersecurity activities.

Travel to customer sites as required; mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure product outcomes meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• Experience integrating and testing software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience packaging software as RPMs and binary executables.
• Experience with Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Git, Jira, and/or GitLab.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with customers and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and test software applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components within combat vehicle systems.
• Plan and perform software and hardware integration activities across complex vehicle platforms.
• Build, maintain, and support software and hardware integration testbeds.
• Integrate software applications, drivers, shared objects, static libraries, RPMs, and binary executables.
• Apply knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus protocols to test, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and vehicle test teams to investigate reported issues and analyze data.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem solving, and software verification testing.
• Support scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening, and cybersecurity scanning activities.
• Ensure technical approaches align with engineering principles and meet requirements.
• Develop relationships with customers to resolve technical problems.
• Mentor less experienced software engineers and support their development.
