Job summary

Centurion seeks a full-time Software Engineering Manager in Sterling, VA to lead a team delivering modern SaaS healthcare software. You will guide architecture, security, scalability, and delivery, while partnering with product and operations to meet clinical and operational needs.

You will mentor engineers, enforce best practices, and drive modernization efforts from legacy components to cloud-native solutions, ensuring reliability and compliance in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership/engineering management role.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise software applications, preferably in SaaS, healthcare technology, EHR, or other regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC practices, Agile delivery, release management, source control, testing, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of software engineers, creating a culture of accountability, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and support of ANI Health’s software platform and related applications.
• Partner with Product Management to translate requirements into technical plans and deliverable software solutions.
• Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, documentation, automated testing, CI/CD, secure development, and performance optimization.
• Identify technical debt and scalability risks and develop practical plans to address them.
• Mentor engineers in technical growth and professional development.
