Mercury Insurance seeks a Senior Manager Software Engineering to lead and grow high‑performing software teams across business areas. You will hire, mentor, and motivate staff while driving budgeting, planning, and roadmap delivery timelines.

You will collaborate with product managers to define effort, translate requirements into robust designs, and ensure secure, compliant, and scalable systems. Hands‑on leadership and CI/CD optimization are core to this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years leading and managing staff.
• Experience leading customer-facing digital experiences across multiple surfaces or channels.
• Strong full-stack background and ability to drive best practices and scalable delivery.

• Build and manage high-performing software teams, hire and mentor staff to sustain excellence.
• Drive budgeting and planning for the area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with product managers to estimate effort and prioritize the roadmap.
• Translate product requirements into robust, secure, scalable designs.
