Mercury Insurance in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex systems, lead agile teams, and mentor junior engineers. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality, scalable software in a fast-paced environment.

You will translate product requirements into robust designs, participate in design reviews, and drive delivery across distributed architectures while upholding Mercury standards and security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years software programming with 2+ years at Mercury-like technologies and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with good test coverage.
• Translate product requirements into robust distributed designs for modular, scalable systems.
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure Mercury standards and quality.
• Lead the sprint team to deliver features and remove impediments.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
