Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP seeks an Software Engineering Manager to lead one or more software teams delivering enterprise web applications. You will provide people leadership, governance, and delivery oversight in an environment embracing Agile, DevOps, and SSDLC.

You will partner with Product Managers and Technical Leaders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading Agile software development teams.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise web applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and modern development practices.
• Experience with SSDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience working with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
• Understanding of cloud-based application development and deployment.
• Experience with source control systems and modern software delivery processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop software engineers and technical leads.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Provide oversight for software delivery across one or more product teams.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and risk identification activities.
• Monitor team performance with Jira and Agile reporting tools.
• Ensure teams deliver high quality, secure software at scale.
• Oversee remediation of technical debt and security risks.
• Engage in architecture and design discussions for scalable solutions.
• Partner with Product Managers and Project Managers to align priorities.
