Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed software systems with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• 8+ years of cloud-native architectures and microservices experience.
• 8+ years building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub, GitLab, Bamboo, etc.).
• Strong testing strategy experience (unit/integration/acceptance).
• Experience with MongoDB/PostgreSQL/DB2 or similar data stores and Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Experience implementing OAuth/SAML or related security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on delivery for large cross-cutting initiatives in Schwab Bank Lending platforms.
• Own solution design and architectural decisions for complex multi-system workflows.
• Translate roadmap and regulatory needs into pragmatic technical approaches.
• Establish patterns, best practices, and guardrails across code, integration, testing, and design.
• Lead engineering execution and unblock complex delivery challenges.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices within a regulated banking environment.
• Drive reliability, security, and production readiness with proactive risk mitigation.
• Triage production issues and inform long-term resiliency improvements.
