Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot application development and delivery.
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing automated testing solutions, including API, integration, and end-to-end testing in modern CI/CD environments.
• Professional experience developing software solutions that align with design principles, business objectives, and production support expectations.
• Professional experience participating in engineering practices such as code reviews, service discovery, environment strategy, and release-readiness activities.
• Professional experience with relational databases.
• Professional experience with RESTful API development.
• Professional experience with source code repository tools, such as GitHub.
• Professional experience using automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Ability to provide production support, including on-call support when necessary.
• Ability to analyze technical challenges, apply sound judgment, and deliver effective solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively by listening actively, communicating clearly, and incorporating feedback.

Responsibilities

• Deliver resilient, high-quality software solutions that support Schwab's client and advisor planning experiences.
• Partner with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to design, build, test, deploy, and support microservices in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to code quality, test automation, deployment readiness, and production support.
• Identify risks early and strengthen automation and validation practices.
• Collaborate with others to continuously improve how the team delivers scalable, maintainable, and dependable technology solutions.
