Job summary

PNC seeks a Software Engineering Group Manager within its SRC-Site Reliability organization. You will lead cross-functional teams across applications, infrastructure and security to deliver reliable, scalable services, with weekly in-person office time across multiple technology hubs.

The role emphasizes proactive reliability, monitoring, automation, and blameless learning, while driving incident response and service improvements for customers.

Qualifications

• Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree.
• Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable.
• Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years.

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple development projects, development groups and/or application support functions for a major business segment.
• Oversees the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems.
• Allocates and ensures resource arrangements during the application development life cycle.
• Maintains relationships with clients to ensure the implementation quality of application systems.
• Provides solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation.
• Provide after-hours operational leadership and on-call support. Availability outside standard business hours may be required to support incidents and emergencies.
