Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration is seeking a Principal Software Engineer – X-Lab Software Developer (26-351) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S.

President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This on-site, full-time position requires current DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher and an

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field with 5 years of experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or 9 years experience as alternative.
• Current DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at time of application.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining Java apps using Spring Framework.
• Experience developing web front ends with HTML, XML, and JavaScript.
• Experience deploying across Windows and Unix/Linux; build/version control with Eclipse, Maven, Git/GitLab, Ansible.
• Experience writing Bash scripts to automate CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications with Spring and secure coding practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines in defense environment.
• Collaborate on secure web front ends and responsive user interfaces.
• Handle builds, version control, and configuration management with CI/CD tooling.
• Provide practical Java development support for defense projects.
