Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration seeks a Software Engineer — Level 2 or 3 in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on missile defense, space, and intelligence, performing software engineering tasks using C++ and Python to support MS&A for defense systems.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree with up to 5 years (or more) of related experience, a current Top Secret clearance, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related work experience for Level 3, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Top Secret clearance active at time of application, required to start.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
• Experience developing software in C/C++, Java, Python, or similar OO languages.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Ability to learn quickly and absorb new concepts.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems.
• Collaborates with hardware engineers in planning and development of product software.
• Ensure software standards are met and meet customer requirements.
