Designed Conveyor Systems is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver the DATUM Warehouse Execution and Control Systems.

This remote US role reports to the VP of Software and involves working across an event-driven microservices stack with modern open-source technologies, AI capabilities, and UI components. You will lead development activities, mentor teams, and support customer commissioning, traveling about 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of experience in industrial software development.
• Experience with open-source frameworks and related development tools.
• Proficient with Linux command line and OS services/configurations.
• Proficient in modern IDEs, Git, and project management tools like Jira/Azure DevOps.

Responsabilités

• Help develop and execute software product strategies and roadmaps with the VP of Software.
• Design, develop, and improve the DATUM WES/WCS products.
• Provide full-stack design and development across an event-driven microservices architecture.
• Lead design and development activities for customer projects and R&D initiatives using Agile practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and the Software Delivery team.
• Support commissioning at customer sites, travel ~15%.
• Collaborate with customers, management, and teams across disciplines.
