Job summary

Rise8 seeks a software engineer to deliver secure software for government clients in a hybrid, civilian/defense-focused environment. You will learn client preferences, coach teams, and deliver working software with fast feedback loops.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI clearance, 6–10 years of experience, full-stack skills, and experience with modern frameworks, containers, and DevSecOps tools. Onsite hybrid roles are available across CO and CA locations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 6–10 years of software development experience.
• Strong communication and willingness to pair-program.
• Experience with TDD and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in PHP, Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Spring Boot, React, Vue or Redux.
• Full-stack capability across frontend and backend.
• Experience using container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Learn client preferences and adapt practices to deliver value.
• Pair with client teams to teach and implement agile engineering.
• Deliver working software with reusable code and tests.
• Ensure weekly delivery and real-time user feedback integration.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet business objectives.
• Champion AI-augmented workflows to speed delivery and outcomes.
