Job summary

DRW is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Treasury and Reference Data in Chicago. You will design, build, and operate critical data and trading systems using Java, Python (FastAPI), and Ruby (Rails), with strong data modeling and Kubernetes-based deployments.

You will partner with business teams to translate complex requirements into robust software, own services end-to-end after shipping, and help improve CI/CD, containers, and internal cloud tooling while mentoring engineers on best

Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Python (FastAPI) and/or Ruby (Rails).
• Strong relational data modeling fundamentals.
• GitOps and Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test firm-wide services, data products, and UIs.
• Collaborate with partners to turn problems into technical plans.
• Own software end-to-end after shipping; deploy, operate, on-call.
• Work across greenfield and legacy codebases.
• Improve CI/CD, containers, and internal cloud tooling.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
• Learn and apply new technologies where appropriate.
