Zusammenfassung

DRW, a diversified trading firm, is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Data Platform in Chicago. You will lead the design and evolution of DRW's data platform infrastructure, translating data strategy into managed services used by traders, quantitative researchers, and back-office teams.

This is an individual contributor role combining strategic thinking, architectural leadership, software development, and cross-team mentorship.

Qualifikationen

Experience leading data platform initiatives across multiple teams.
Proficiency in Java or Python with SQL & Linux.
Experience with data governance and metadata management.
Experience with distributed systems and data processing frameworks.

Aufgaben

Guide architecture and evolution of the data platform to advance DRW's data strategy.
Translate data strategy into engineering products and platform capabilities.
Design and own lifecycle of managed data platform services (storage, queries, batch/stream processing).
Lead cross-team delivery and turn requirements into practical designs with measurable outcomes.
Drive architecture reviews and technology decisions across the data ecosystem.
Mentor engineers through design and code reviews.
