Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Stablecoin team to build and scale CCS, enabling partners to launch branded, USDC-backed stablecoins on Coinbase's infrastructure. You will operate at the intersection of backend services and on-chain contracts.

You will own smart contracts for minting and burning, develop backend onboarding and reserves tooling, and collaborate with product and design to ship quarterly features while upholding security, auditability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience including backend services.
• Experience writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts (Solidity or similar) in production.
• End-to-end service ownership and SOA at scale.
• Security tradeoffs in on-chain systems: audits, upgradeability, access control, key management.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve contracts for mint/burn and safekeep operations.
• Build and scale backend services for onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, rewards distribution.
• Partner with product/design/tech leads to ship quarterly features from the stablecoin roadmap.
• Drive architecture decisions across backend and smart contracts for security and scalability.
