Blue Origin in Merritt Island seeks a Software Engineer to lead development of manufacturing and enterprise applications. You will build and maintain web apps and APIs using React, Python, FastAPI, AWS, Spring Boot, and Node.js, guiding architecture and delivering reliable, scalable solutions.

You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply AI and IIoT ideas to improve automation, data pipelines, and real-time analytics for spaceflight operations.

Qualifications

• Proven full-stack development experience with modern web technologies.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise applications for manufacturing or similar domains.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into robust software solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new tools and applications enabling manufacturing teams to automate processes.
• Design and deploy enterprise-scale systems and services.
• Build data pipelines with MTConnect/OPC UA/MQTT and MES/ERP/QMS data.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance automation and software capabilities.
• Produce clear user documentation for integrations between enterprise apps.
• Create web apps and APIs for scheduling, dispatching, and issue resolution.
• Adopt DevOps practices; containerize services; ensure observability and reliability.
