Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Washington, is seeking a software engineer to build full-stack applications for Manufacturing Engineers. You will develop frontend interfaces, backend services, and data pipelines, including AI-powered features to process work-order data at scale.

You will collaborate with engineers on AWS-based, containerized infrastructure and spend time on the floor with Manufacturing Engineers to learn workflows and deliver impactful tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership.
• Strong front-end skills: React and TypeScript, state management.
• Backend/API development in Python with REST/GraphQL and databases.
• Experience integrating LLMs into products.
• Experience deploying on AWS and containerized infra (Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications for Manufacturing Engineers.
• Improve and modernize existing tools, reducing technical debt.
• Build AI/LLM-powered features processing manufacturing and work-order data at scale.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS and Kubernetes with CI/CD and monitoring.
• Spend time with Manufacturing Engineers to understand workflows and translate them into tooling.
• Use data to validate impact and guide future work.
