Blue Origin is seeking a software engineer to join the Emerging Technology Team within Enterprise Technology. You will help build AI-native systems that design, build and test our products using the latest AWS, Java, React, Python and GenAI platforms.

We value rapid delivery, continuous improvement and a strong commitment to quality in support of safe human spaceflight. This role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and the ability to translate domain expertise into practical applications.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in practice.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, writing production code in at least one programming language
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and the ability translate domain expertise into applications
• Familiarity with Python, Java and TypeScript as a primary coding language
• Experience developing long-lasting REST/GraphQL APIs and/or applications in a production environment
• Experience with version control (Gitlab / Github) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with unit and end to end testing on Java or React
• Nuanced understanding of at least one modern database system, such as RDBMS, columnar DBMS, NoSQL, IMDB.

Responsibilities
