Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team. You will lead initiatives to deliver an industry-leading search experience, focusing on vector search performance and relevance.

This role requires deep Java expertise and the ability to operate in a globally distributed team to design, implement, and improve search features. You will work with community contributors, fix challenging bugs, and push for novel algorithms or data structures, often close

Qualifications

• Experience with vector similarity on a large scale search platform.
• Proficient in core Java and modern concurrency features.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and guide cross-functional work.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch/Solr or similar search tech.

Responsibilities
