Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Developer - Scrum Master to support the L-CAP platform in a hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The candidate will split time between hands‑on software engineering of cloud‑native microservices and Scrum Master duties for an Agile Release Train.

The role requires strong Java/Spring experience, SAFe/Agile expertise, and the ability to work across cross‑functional teams while ensuring secure, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years of relevant experience in computer science or software engineering.
• Five plus years designing, developing, testing and reviewing production Java applications.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 50% hands-on software engineering: cloud-native microservices design, development, testing, review and maintenance.
• Approximately 50% Scrum Master responsibilities: facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, drive predictable sprint outcomes.
• Guide SAFe cadence: PI planning, iteration planning, backlog refinement, system demos, inspect‑and‑adapt.
• Track team metrics: velocity, PI objectives, and delivery progress to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Release Train Engineer, Product Owner and stakeholders on status, risks, and dependencies.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and blockers to ensure commitments.
• Leverage DevSecOps practices and CI/CD to accelerate secure delivery.
