Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for the Automation, Equipment and Test (AET) team.

You will design and implement software for manufacturing robots and instruments, and lead cross-functional efforts to improve product quality and process efficiency. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product, systems, electrical, mechanical, and quality teams, and contribute to architecture of manufacturing platforms and applications.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks and tools (C#/Python is a plus).
• Solid understanding of OOAD, OOP, design patterns and software architecture.
• Experience integrating software with hardware components such as PLCs, sensors, and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software for equipment that builds and tests medical devices.
• Build and maintain software infrastructures to extract value from data.
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure software and hardware integrity in volume production and document IQOQPQ/DQ activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional projects to completion.
