Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Multiport Test Engineering team, enabling manufacturing of a new generation of robotic systems. You will develop automated, mechatronics‑centric manufacturing tests and diagnostic software that assure calibration, performance, and safety of robot subsystems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hardware‑oriented software development with a bachelor’s degree (or 3 years with a master’s).
• Experience with robotic or electro‑mechanical systems, including control systems and mechatronics.
• Experience developing or testing Windows PC or Web user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of manufacturing test fixtures, software, and test system quality.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of product operation, control and testing algorithms.
• Design, document, and qualify systems and test software for use in manufacturing new robot subsystems.
• Work independently to overcome roadblocks with minimum guidance.
• Troubleshoot production line issues.
• Improve the manufacturing test capability through new technology, software and analytics.
