Job summary

Vetcove is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help modernize veterinary software platforms. You will contribute to the conception, development, and maintenance of features across the tech stack, building scalable web and mobile experiences used by veterinary clinics and suppliers.

You’ll work closely with the CTO and a fast-moving, fully remote team, focusing on code quality, testing, and collaboration to deliver intuitive products for patients and clinicians alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience building production web applications.
• Ability to design features around data models with security and performance in mind.
• Experience with databases and query optimization.
• Fluency in JavaScript and modern web frameworks.
• Strong testing habits and code quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with remote, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to conceptualization and feature documentation.
• Build and extend interactive React applications that will be used by thousands of veterinary purchasers and hospital groups.
• Add good test coverage.
• Building reusable components for use by the larger team.
• Implement new features into our React Native applications.
• Work directly with our CTO and engineering team, as well as across other functions to evolve our platform.
• Work in a fully remote environment.
