Vetcove, a fast-growing veterinary software company, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own major product areas and drive scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. You’ll work on web and mobile fronts, build scalable data models, and help clinics optimize operations.

You will mentor engineers, influence product direction, and collaborate with leadership to deliver impact across a remote, US-based team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of complex, production-grade systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language and modern web frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React, including architecting large-scale front-end applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and delivery of complex product initiatives across web and mobile platforms.
• Build and enhance React and React Native applications used by tens of thousands of veterinary professionals.
• Set engineering standards, drive code quality, and ensure strong test coverage across the codebase.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with CTO and leadership to define and execute high-impact solutions.
