Job summary

GeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer to build cutting-edge solutions within the Iris platform. This 100% remote role requires 10% travel to the DMV region.

You will work in a small team of engineers delivering high-quality software, reporting to the VP of Engineering. The candidate must be a US citizen and reside in the contiguous United States as a W2 employee of GeoDelphi, Inc.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in at least one language with experience across others (Python, React, Java).
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Google, Rackspace).
• Design, build, scale, and maintain production software.
• Strong coding quality and testability focus.
• Solid understanding of DevOps and SDLC processes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain application phases.
• Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs meet specifications.
• Recommend changes to improve processes.
• Prepare and release software components.
• Develop and execute unit tests.
• Support formal testing and resolve defects.
• Provide technical support for application and infrastructure questions.
