Remote work with 10% travel to the DMV region, US citizenship required and residency in contiguous US. Reports to VP of Engineering in a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality software.
The role emphasizes designing, implementing, and maintaining production-grade software across the full development lifecycle with strong emphasis on DevOps, CI/CD, and scalable architectures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in a software engineering role.
- Expert in at least one language with strong experience in Python, React, or Java.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google) and other providers.
- Design, build, scale, and maintain production software.
- Strong coding standards and testability mindset.
- Solid DevOps understanding and CI/CD processes/tools.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
- Ability to gather client requirements and automate workflows.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively in small teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain application phases.
- Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards.
- Recommend changes to improve existing processes.
- Prepare and release software components.
- Develop application code and unit tests.
- Support testing and resolve defects; provide technical support.
