Job summary

GeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace seeks a Software Engineer to help build the Iris platform. This 100% remote role requires 10% travel to the DMV region, and the candidate must be a US citizen residing in the contiguous United States.

You will work under the VP of Engineering on an innovative, multi-layered technology stack. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who writes high-quality, testable code and collaborates well with small teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience.
• Expert with at least one language and comfortable with several others (Python, React, Java).
• Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Google Cloud, Rackspace.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production software.
• Strong coding abilities emphasizing quality and testability.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and software development processes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems via automation.
• Creativity in solving technical problems and ability to work in small teams.

• Ensure designs meet specifications.
• Recommend changes to improve established processes.
