Job summary

GeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer to build cutting-edge solutions within the Iris platform. This role is 100% remote, with a requirement to travel about 10% to the DMV region, and the candidate must be a US citizen residing in the contiguous United States.

Reports to the VP of Engineering. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software development experience across languages such as Python, React, and Java, with strong cloud and DevOps skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expert in at least one language with broad experience in Python, React, Java.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Rackspace.
• Experience designing, building, scaling production software.
• Strong coding quality and testability.
• Solid understanding of DevOps and SDLC processes.
• Experience with CI/CD and CM tools (GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to gather client requirements and automate workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain application phases.
• Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs meet specifications.
• Prepare and release software components.
• Develop unit tests and test plans.
• Support formal testing and resolve defects.
• Provide technical support and consultation for applications and infrastructure.
