Job summary

WEX Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to help design and deliver the EnCompass platform for Corporate Payments customers. You will work on UI, APIs, and integrations, collaborating with resellers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, architectural thinking, and robust testing. You’ll mentor peers, participate in code reviews, and drive time-to-market while maintaining security and compliance in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years with relational datastores (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience deploying services on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong automation and testing (unit, integration, tests) and understanding of the test pyramid.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Build custom solutions for partners using the EnCompass platform.
• Collaborate to define and implement an architectural roadmap for the platform.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Deliver high-quality, production-ready software with comprehensive tests.
• Take end-to-end responsibility from requirements to deployment and monitoring.
