Job summary

WEX, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in the Corporate Payments Engineering organization to develop, drive, and execute implementations for resellers of the EnCompass platform.

EnCompass serves as the core customer-facing UI, APIs, and integrations for Corporate Payments customers. This remote position requires residency within 30 miles of Dallas, TX or Portland, ME, and involves collaborating with partners and internal teams to deliver high-quality software with robust testing and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience deploying services on AWS or Azure.
• Strong unit/integration testing and understanding of the test pyramid.
• Strong knowledge of data security and compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build custom solutions for partners.
• Engage with stakeholders and partners to demo work and articulate value.
• Define and implement a comprehensive architectural roadmap for the EnCompass platform.
• Reduce time-to-market with efficient engineering methods.
• Help customers succeed in their payments and card businesses.
• Design, build, test, and deliver production-ready software with tests.
• Take end-to-end technical responsibility from requirements to deployment and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
