Job summary

WEX is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the EnCompass platform within Corporate Payments Engineering. This role focuses on building, driving, and delivering scalable software for reseller integrations, UIs, APIs, and services.

You will lead architectural decisions, collaborate across teams, and drive time-to-market with efficient engineering practices while ensuring high-quality, tested software across environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 1+ years of experience using Relational Datastores (SQL).
• Expertise in rapid development and deployment using cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience writing automated tests and understanding test pyramid.
• Strong data security and compliance knowledge in cloud environments, preferably finance.

Responsibilities

• Build custom solutions for partners based on roadmap with the partner.
• Engage with stakeholders and partners to demo work and articulate value.
• Define and implement a comprehensive architectural roadmap for EnCompass.
• Reduce time-to-market with efficient engineering methods.
• Help customers succeed in payments and card businesses and troubleshoot issues.
• Design, build, test, and deliver high-quality, production-ready software with tests.
• Take end-to-end responsibility from requirements to deployment and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to promote technical excellence.
