Job summary

WEX Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Corporate Payments Engineering team in a remote-capable role.

You will help develop, drive, and deliver features for the EnCompass platform, serving as a core user experience and integration layer for our reseller customers. You should have 5+ years of software engineering, strong SQL skills, cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and a track record of delivering secure, tested code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years using relational datastores (SQL).
• Experience deploying services in AWS or Azure with security/compliance awareness.
• Proven ability to test with unit, integration tests and solid testing practices.
• Strong leadership and communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build custom solutions for partners aligned with roadmap and customer needs.
• Engage with stakeholders to demo work and articulate value.
• Define and implement architectural roadmap for EnCompass platform.
• Reduce time-to-market through efficient engineering methods.
• Deliver production-ready software with comprehensive tests.
• Own end-to-end delivery from requirements to deployment and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
