Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end product surfaces, from database to React UI.

You will drive architecture, reliability, and technical direction across teams, partnering with PMs, clinicians, and engineers to deliver impactful features. You will ship full-stack features, decompose work for parallel delivery, and design data models that endure evolving requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering large features independently.
Four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
Full-stack experience from database to browser.
Strong TypeScript, including backend.
Strong SQL with complex queries and schema design.
Data and analytics savvy with reporting experience.
Production experience with React.
Docker and container-based development and deployment.
Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Strong proficiency with AI development tools for faster delivery.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture, reliability, and technical direction for a product surface or system.
Ship full-stack features end to end from schema and API through React UI.
Decompose large problems into parallelizable work and guide teams.
Design scalable data models and robust integrations.
Work with data directly using SQL and build reporting/analytics.
Run safe schema and data migrations with rollback paths.
Enhance systems with logging, alerts, and runbooks.
Incorporate authorization, audit trails, and PHI minimization from start.
Collaborate with product managers, clinicians, and operations.
Handle production incidents and mentor junior engineers.
