Audiohook is seeking a senior engineer to architect and optimize a high-throughput advertising platform that leverages machine learning and large-scale data pipelines. You will balance hands-on coding with technical leadership on a small, high-impact team delivering billions of requests per day.

You will design and build services, improve bidding algorithms, and lead data infrastructure projects while maintaining reliability.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python programming with strong Go or Node.js experience.
• Proven ownership of product-level architecture and delivery.
• Collaborative, with experience in pair programming and code reviews.
• Comfort presenting to groups and guiding technical discussions.
• Pragmatic, balancing short-term gains with long-term stability.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents for code writing and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize an advertising service handling billions of daily requests.
• Improve bidding algorithms using ML models to increase profitability.
• Architect big-data pipelines and ensure data consistency across data lake and caches.
• Lead cost-efficiency initiatives reducing data processing spend.
• Maintain delivery cadence with weekly sprint commitments and demos.
