First Citizens Bank is seeking a senior software developer to own the full lifecycle of Direct Bank software projects. This remote role supports multiple U.S. markets with priority given to North Carolina, Florida, Texas, and Arizona.

You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain complex systems, mentor staff, and provide 24/7 on-call coverage to ensure production reliability. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience (or a HS diploma with 10 years) in software

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
• OR
• High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
• Experience implementing REST APIs for application integration.
• Knowledge of identity management via OKTA for SSO/SAML authentication.
• Hands-on experience with Microservice design; ESB platforms (Mule, Tibco).
• Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams to capture requirements and ensure proper integration.
• Troubleshoot middleware, API integration, and authentication issues.
• SDLC knowledge including Waterfall and Agile.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, SQL scripting, and PowerShell.

• System Enhancement - lead efforts to improve department systems and applications; design tests and training materials.
• Business Support - provide technical production support, address complex issues, and lead major projects.
• Technical Expertise - mentor associates and act as a technical resource for leadership and teams.
• Data Analysis - collect data on user requests, assess scope, time estimates, and system impacts.
• Provide 24/7 on-call rotations.
