Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a senior software developer for a remote role with priority given to candidates in North Carolina and other markets across the United States. You will oversee all phases of software development from requirements through production deployment and maintenance, leading technical efforts in Direct Bank technologies.

You will design, implement, test, and support systems, develop REST APIs, microservices, and integrations, and mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance
• OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

Responsibilities

• System Enhancement - Leads team efforts to evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications.
• Business Support - Provides technical support to production systems and ensures functionality for end users.
• Technical Expertise - Mentors associates and serves as a technical resource for management and business units.
• Data Analysis - Collects data on user requests, estimates scope, and checks accuracy of specs and plans.
• Provides 24/7 on call rotations
