Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to drive design, development, and support of secure, cloud-native payments, money movement, and reporting platforms.

The role is remote and may be hired in AZ, NC, or TX and requires deep AWS expertise, serverless, event-driven, and containerized architectures. You will mentor distributed teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering and architecture experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and/or Node.js.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and OpenShift.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
