Hidden Jobs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Session Replay squad, shaping product direction and backend architecture, including migrating toward columnar/analytical storage for high-volume session data. This is a remote position for candidates in Canadian Eastern time zones only.

Qualifications

• Significant senior software engineer experience on production systems at scale.
• Proficient in Go for backend services and APIs; experience with TypeScript and React on frontend.
• Hands-on design of large-scale data systems with columnar/analytical storage, ingestion pipelines, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with object storage and distributed data processing.
• Ability to make architectural decisions spanning multiple teams.
• Mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end technical direction for Session Replay across frontend, backend, and data systems.
• Design data storage and ingestion architectures for large-scale session data.
• Lead investigation workflows linking replay with logs, metrics, and traces.
• Make high-leverage architectural decisions impacting multiple teams.
• Collaborate with adjacent product teams to create cohesive cross-product experiences.
• Engage customers directly via calls and feedback loops to instrument and adopt the product.
• Mentor engineers and elevate team technical leadership.
