GiveCampus, the world’s leading fundraising platform for education, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote-first US team. You will lead technical decisions, drive major projects, and collaborate with PMs and other developers to architect solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience.
• Proficient in Ruby, Python or Javascript/Node.js.
• Experience with MVC frameworks (Rails, Django, Pyramid).
• Front-end and back-end development capability.
• Experience with React or Vue.js.
• SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQLite.
• Experience deploying to Heroku, AWS or similar.
• Strong emphasis on maintainable code and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Work on the full stack from UI elements to backend services, including database tuning and performance.
• Iterate quickly, build features end-to-end, from backend to frontend, plus architecture, testing and production support.
• Be adaptable and work with teammates in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Tackle a wide range of technical issues across the stack and contribute to documentation.
• Opportunity to take on a Tech Lead role with roadmap planning and milestones.
• Mentor junior staff to help grow their craft.
• Contribute to coding standards, technical debt refinement and security monitoring.
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding new team members.
• Support the platform on a rotational basis (24/7 on-call).
