Job summary

F&I Sentinel is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own feature delivery from technical approach through production with autonomy. You will work with product, architect, and UX, translating designs into robust implementations and mentoring junior engineers through code reviews.

The role emphasizes end-to-end development, testing, incident response, and responsible use of AI tools, while collaborating with Ops and SRE for deployments. Remote-based with ~5% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering with full-stack experience.
• Experience prototyping new tools/frameworks and AI-assisted workflows.
• Strong design, debugging, and testing (unit/integration; pytest).
• Experience with code reviews and constructive feedback.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and AWS deployment practices.
• Ability to interpret acceptance criteria and validate non-functional requirements.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools and ability to critically verify output.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver software features end-to-end with high quality.
• Identify root causes and resolve bugs during development and incidents.
• Verify implementation against acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements before QA.
• Collaborate with UI/UX to ensure accessible, usable interfaces.
• Research and document new tools and practices as decision guides.
• Manage release and environment deployments; monitor for regressions.
• Provide senior technical guidance and mentorship through code reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
