Job summary

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Short Hills, New Jersey location. You will design, develop, and implement technology solutions using Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Python across a cloud-enabled stack.

Work in an Agile environment with peers to build scalable services, monitor performance with Datadog, and deploy via OpenShift, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Remote work is permitted 1 day per week; the site offers 40 hours/week in Short Hills, NJ.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or closely related position.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo and Bitbucket for task tracking and code repositories.
• Git, GitHub and GitLab for code version control and repositories.
• Programming in Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, C++, Python, and PHP to develop applications.
• Databases including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB for data storage.
• AWS services for cloud data storage and compute.
• OpenShift, Jenkins and Datadog to monitor and improve performance.
• Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and scale applications.
• Hive and Spark for data analytics and insights.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and Linux/Bash environments.
