Brigit is a holistic financial health company helping everyday Americans build a brighter financial future. We’re seeking senior fullstack engineers to scale our consumer finance platform to millions of users, building on React/React Native with TypeScript and a Java backend on Google Cloud.

We value autonomy and ownership, offering strong senior roles with influence over technology and product direction. NYC-based candidates are preferred, but remote options are available for those in EST/CT

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• REST-based services and Java API development.
• UI/UX experience with React or React Native end-to-end.
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL databases and data migrations.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker is a plus.
• Finance knowledge is a plus.
• Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers is a plus.
• Self-starter able to work independently on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Evolve APIs supporting user flows for great UX.
• Optimize relational DB schemas for speed.
• Implement algorithms for monetary transactions and risk.
• Integrate with new 3rd party APIs for millions of customers.
• Reduce support workload via product improvements and automation.
• Add interaction and motion design for better UX.
• Create new mobile and web clients for upcoming products.
• Conduct A/B tests to boost business outcomes.
