Job summary

Magna Legal Services seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join its growing technology team. This fully remote role powers the Records business with secure, scalable applications for internal use and client-facing solutions.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business needs into practical technical solutions, while embracing AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade applications.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with C#/.NET.
• Strong experience deploying cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed applications.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work remotely.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams in Agile environments.
• Interest in AI-assisted software development and modern AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and services.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Clearly communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design, build, and enhance APIs and backend services using C#/.NET and Azure.
• Develop responsive user interfaces with React when appropriate.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production applications for reliability.
