Job summary

Magna Legal Services is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote technology team. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable applications powering our Records business and client-facing solutions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, translate complex technical concepts, and guide technology decisions. We value AI-assisted development to improve productivity and code quality while delivering reliable software across our organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with C#/.NET.
Strong experience deploying cloud-native apps in Microsoft Azure.
Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
Experience with relational databases like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Experience with modern architecture, patterns, and engineering best practices.
Strong communication and ability to work remotely.
Interest in AI-assisted software development and modern AI tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and services.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Communicate architectural decisions and tradeoffs clearly to all audiences.
Build APIs and backend services using C#/.NET and Azure.
Develop responsive UI with React and modern frameworks when needed.
Leverage AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity and quality.
Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and planning.
Participate in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Monitor and optimize production applications for reliability and performance.
Evaluate emerging technologies to deliver greater business value.
