Relativity, a leading legal data intelligence company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own production agents end to end across the full stack.

You will transform customer problems into tool designs, prompts, and robust deployments, collaborating directly with founders and a small, highly capable team.

This role emphasizes independent ownership, mentorship of Advanced engineers, and delivering reliable software in a remote-friendly, US-wide environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production software in service-oriented, continuously deployed teams.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered features to real users through a launched project.
• Experience building full-stack web applications and agentic applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship agents and agent capabilities end to end, including tools, prompts, context assembly, structured outputs, guardrails, services, and the frontend experience in Word or on the web.
• Build and maintain evaluations for the capabilities you own, to guide decisions and measure acceptance, latency, and cost per agent.
• Contribute to shared infrastructure, including the harness, context and retrieval pipeline, model routing, and observability stack.
• Practice a modern software development lifecycle with frequent commits, feature-flagged deployments, and rapid rollbacks.
• Debug non-deterministic failures, retrieval misses, tool-call errors, and model regressions.
• Mentor Advanced engineers and review code; write clear technical docs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customers to define meaningful work in legal tasks.
