Job summary

SpaceX’s Starlink team seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to define, build, and deploy features unlocking global connectivity. You will work on real-time software across network switches, servers, ground antennas, and satellites to support demanding applications.

You must be a self-starter with a passion for solving hard problems and delivering high-impact results. Experience with embedded devices and C/C++ is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Experience with networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, etc.) and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time software for network switches, servers, antennas and satellites to optimize performance.
• Own the software lifecycle from architecture to deployment and incorporate real-world learnings.
• Develop tools to support testing, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Build prototypes and manage experiments to prove key design concepts.
• Innovate next-generation networking technologies to direct data through satellites and ground stations.
