SpaceX in Redmond is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for Starlink to design and deploy real-time networking software across satellites, ground stations, and user terminals. You will own architecture, implement features, test rigorously, and ensure reliability on switches, servers, and antennas.

The role requires 5+ years of software development, experience with networking protocols, and C/C++. SpaceX offers robust compensation, stock plan, benefits, and relocation/shuttle options; ITAR

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Experience with networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, etc.) and operating systems.
• Experience writing software on embedded devices.
• Experience writing C or C++ in production environments.
• Experience owning development, testing, and deployment of software for real-world applications.
• Experience developing software for network optimization, traffic shaping, or bandwidth management.
• Deep understanding of service provider networks including connectivity, routing, internet services.

• Develop highly reliable real-time software running on network switches, servers, ground antennas, and satellites to optimize network performance.
• Own the lifecycle of software from architecture design through testing and support.
• Develop tools to support testing, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
