Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer for the Starlink program to develop reliable real-time software across gateways, satellites, and user terminals. You will participate in architecture and code reviews, create prototypes, and build tools for deployment, testing, and data analysis in a variety of environments.

The role emphasizes delivering high-performance, low-latency software for a global internet system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Development experience in C, C++, or assembly.
• Strong experience writing C, C++ or assembly in production environments.
• Knowledge of real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, or high-performance computing.
• Good analytical skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable, real-time software for gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches in SpaceX Starlink network.
• Participate in architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and experiments to validate design concepts.
• Create tools for development, deployment, data analysis, and test execution across environments.
• Deploy software within CI/CD and release systems.
