Job summary

Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Product Experiences in San Francisco. You will own significant portions of the user-facing platform and collaborate with design and PM to ship fast, intuitive features across Search, Dossier, Charts, and more.

Expect to work on complex data, high-availability services, and AI-assisted experiences, with a frontend stack of React/TypeScript and a backend built on Python, Django, Kafka, and more.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional software development teams.
• Strong frontend fundamentals (React/TypeScript) and comfort working full-stack to ship features end-to-end.
• Ability to write robust, well-tested, and well-designed code deployed to users.
• Solid understanding of architecting and scaling distributed software systems.

Responsibilities

• Own large portions of the user-facing platform from start to finish for Peregrine’s Product Experiences.
• Ship features across the Peregrine platform (Search, Dossier, Charts, Dashboards, Maps, Network, Table, Workspace, Docs, Automations, Mobile).
• Collaborate closely with design and product management to deliver fast, intuitive, and trustworthy experiences.
• Focus on latency, interaction design, resilience, and data-scale challenges to deliver concrete value.
