Job summary

Peregrine is seeking a Software Engineer for Product Experiences to own major features across the Peregrine platform, including Search, Dossier, Charts, Dashboards, Maps, Network and more. You’ll work with design and PM to ship fast, trust-worthy experiences that help investigators act on billions of records.

You will balance ownership with collaboration, shaping product decisions, focusing on latency, interaction design and reliability while contributing to an evolving stack (React/TypeScript

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with cross-functional software development teams
• Experience shipping production-grade, user-facing software
• Strong frontend fundamentals with React/TypeScript and full-stack capabilities
• Ability to write robust, well-tested code and scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of architecting and scaling distributed software systems
• Located in San Francisco or Washington, D.C. and open to office 4 days a week

Responsibilities

• Own large portions of the user-facing platform from start to finish
• Develop and ship product experiences that delight users
• Collaborate with design/PM to shape features across Search, Dossier, Charts, Dashboards, Maps, Network and more
• Build search and semantic discovery across billions of records
• Design and iterate on real-time, collaborative experiences with maps and networks
• Focus on latency, interaction design, and reliability
